Light Up Lagos Program

The primary objective of the Accelerated Light Up Lagos Power Program is to unlock distribution, transmission and electricity metering infrastructure constraints to deliver reliable power supply to high impact, high population, low-income communities across the State working with the Electricity Distribution Companies in Lagos (EKEDC & IKEDC) and private developers

Electrification of Public Facilities

Lagos MEMR set up the Electrification of Public Facilities initiative to optimize and improve electricity supply to public infrastructure across the State (Alausa campus, public healthcare facilities, public schools, state-owned agricultural facilities, etc.)

Clean Energy Initiatives

MEMR is working to achieve energy efficiency, emissions reductions and environmental improvement for reduced energy cost, and improved livelihood for citizens.

Downstream Retail Fuel Stations and Lubricants

The ongoing operationalization of IOGC to generate income from multiple product lines – LPG, downstream retail fuel Stations and lubricants contributes additional revenue generation for LASG

Hospital Electrification

Under the administration of Mr Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwolu, Lagos State Implemented 3 phases of electrification across the healthsector in 32 hospitals from 2019 - 2023.

Local Capacity Building

MEMR is committed to delivering medium and long-term social and economic benefits by improving local content inputs and building local capacity towards improving energy efficiency.

Plans and implements state policies on Energy and Mineral Resources to ensure availability of reliable energy for all residents in Lagos State as well as making Lagos State an Energy investment destination using available mineral resources as catalyst.
