MANDATE

Oversee the coordinated planning, policy-making, evolution, administration and monitoring of the electricity sector in the State.

FUNCTIONS

  • Implement and oversee government electricity policies, projects and initiatives across the State.
  • Facilitate the development and management of electricity infrastructure and facilities within the State.
  • Collaborate with Generation, Transmission and Distribution companies, in achieving electricity reliability and sustainability in the State.
  •  Drive an enabling environment for public and private sector investment in the power sector.
  • Ensure the availability of cost effective electric power supply.
  • Provide centralized control and maintenance of electricity distribution infrastructure across all MDAs in Lagos State.
